Donations and Funding

Projects are funded through donations and where appropriate, grants are actively pursued from Government and Corporate and other potential partners.  Donations may be made direct to The Podmore Foundation - Ancillary Fund.  These will be disbursed at the Board's discretion to help fund ongoing authorised projects or provide the capability to implement proposed projects.

Donations to The Podmore Foundation - Ancillary Fund may be made by completing and submitting the online donation form electronically and following up with a periodic donation by direct deposit action (or making a singular donation by direct deposit if you prefer).  Donations can also be made by cheque and/or by recurring direct deposits and submitted by downloading, printing and completing the postal donation form.  In all cases, donations will be acknowledged and a receipt will be issued to verify tax deductibility status.

You will need to make arrangements with your own financial institution for direct deposits and recurring funds transfers.
You should be aware that recurring funds transfers are very likely to be subject to fees from your own financial institutions.  It may be more cost effective for you to establish such arrangements at less frequent intervals with slightly larger recurring amounts.  In most cases they can be done via online or telephone banking at a lesser fee.

Your circumstances may not fit with any of the options expressed on either form.  If so, please note these or discuss your preferred arrangements direct with The Podmore Foundation Treasurer

Donations made to the Podmore Foundation - Ancillary Fund are tax deductible.  The Australian Taxation Office has agreed to Designated Gift Recipient status and the fund is Income Tax Exempt.  This enables the Board to manage donations made directly to the Foundation leaving disbursement of funds to the Board's discretion.  Funds can only be disbursed to authorised projects.  Partner organisations receiving funds via the Podmore Foundation will have sought their own Tax Deductibility status as well and this will be declared in Project briefs and/or on Partner websites and other documentation.

Bequests can also be made.

Making a bequest to The Podmore Foundation in your Will is a simple and thoughtful way of making a significant contribution to the work of the Foundation.  This can be done by having the following words included in your Will:

"I give the sum of $ x to THE PODMORE FOUNDATION INCORPORATED (ABN 31 250 068 413) to be used for the general purposes of the Foundation and the receipt of the Secretary, Treasurer or other proper officer of the Foundation shall be a sufficient discharge to my Trustee, but if at the date of my death the Foundation does not exist, then to such other organisation whose objects my Trustee determines most closely resemble those of the Foundation."

Of course, please discuss your wishes with your Executor, your family and your solicitor.  Although my no means an arbitrary requirement, please advise the Foundation of your intentions if you so wish.  As for all donations, this detail will be kept confidential unless you stipulate otherwise.
